How did you get involved in the cannabis industry?

.

Growing up, I was always drawn towards things that needed a healing touch.  Whether I was taking care of an injured animal or helping a friend through a bout of depression, I’ve always had compassion for things that require a nurturing hand and a tender heart. I come from a long line of teachers & counselors in my family, so I found it very natural to get involved in the cannabis industry.

When I got my medical cannabis card in 2016 — the dispensary lingo confused me, and I wasn’t sure which products would help me the most.

I asked my doctor where to start, and she had no real suggestions. “Maybe try an edible?” she offered — but as far as the specifics and dosage, I was left to figure it out on my own. Shortly after, I started working at the dispensary and sought to bridge this knowledge gap.

My primary objective is to take the guesswork out of cannabis so people feel confident using it as medicine. Cannabis is one of those tricky things to talk about because people are often turned-off by stoner culture or confused by the lingo — and I totally understand!

But all that’s changing as we realize what cannabis has to offer.

People from all walks of life are turning to cannabis for a number of reasons. There’s certainly no reason to feel ashamed. Mark my words: cannabis is THE wellness product of the future. I’m here to celebrate it, and make it accessible for anyone who needs it.
